As Magento 1’s technical support has ended, many customers have migrated from Magento 1 to Magento 2, or are in the process of migrating. However, we plan to extend the technical support for Magento 1.X, which originally ended in November 2018, for at least 18 additional months, and updates such as security patches will continue until May 2020.
However, you should plan to upgrade to Magento 2 within a year.
